TO WIT TO WED TO WOO IS NOW OPEN -- COME ONE, COME ALL!
We opened To Wit To Wed To Woo to a great crowd at Anne MacDonald Hall in North Vancouver, and this show is definitely going to be a hit at this year's Fringe. The comedy is very physical, extremely clever and so fast-paced you're at the edge of your seat to keep up with these four fabulous actresses! T Weir has seamlessly woven together some of Shakespeare's most wonderful (and not so wonderful!) female characters in a way you've never seen them before! There was a reception afterwards and good old "Anne Mac" has never looked so festive!

News on To Wit, To Wed, To Woo! We have changed the venue for our North Vancouver premiere to Anne MacDonald Hall - right beside Presentation House. As the play takes place at a wedding, it seemed the perfect fit to perform the show in an old church! The premiere dates are August 14-16, 2003. We have also added the Cowichan Fringe Festival to our Fringe tour, making the grand total a whopping three stops!

April 2003

GOOD NEWS! We got the rights to the second show of our season, Academy Award winner Alan Ball's Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. The project is scheduled for January/February 2004, with details to come soon. See Coming Attractions information on this fantastic play.

February 2003

Pre-production for To Wit, To Wed, To Woo is in full swing. T Weir is madly scribbling away in a creative frenzy, getting the script ready for workshop. To wed or not to wed...that is the question. A co-production between Theatre Tart and Hornèd Moon Productions, To Wit, To Wed, To Woo is the story of a young motherless woman on her wedding day. Facing the moment of truth with increasing doubt and having no one to answer her questions, she turns to Shakespeare's women for advice. Some advice is helpful...some is terrifying! This show will have you thinking twice before turning to the Bard for love advice!

January 2003

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Now, Transit of Venus is not a Hornèd Moon production, but as we're not doing anything at the moment we thought we'd give a little publicity to our good friends at Theatre Tart. The show is a co-production with Presentation House Theatre in North Vancouver, as part of the On the House program. It plays at Presentation House March 27 - April 12 2003 and is directed by Trevor Devall. Rumour has it that casting is finally complete, so check out www.theatretart.ca for more information.

December 2002

We finally have a website! After three years of living in the land of the technologically incompetent, Hornèd Moon finally got its act together and got online. Take a look around the site and see what we're about. 2003 promises to bring some exciting projects our way and we'll keep you posted about all our upcoming shows. Check out Coming Attractions for info on next year's Fringe show, To Wit, To Wed, To Woo, a co-production with Theatre Tart.

TRACY LEIGH SAYS GOODBYE
Tracy Leigh Campbell packed up her bags and hit the road in August 2002 to return to home to Ontario. Co-founder of Hornèd Moon, Tracy Leigh has had many roles to play over the last three years-- the rather intoxicated Sue Carol in Beautiful Bodies, designer, set builder and Co-Director of The Gut Girls, and in 2001 she assisted director Renee Iaci on Starch! for the Vancouver Fringe. We miss her heaps and hope to see her back in Vancouver soon. Maybe Hornèd Moon will just have to tour a show back East and show those Ontarians what we can do!

CHEERS TO THEATRE TART!
The producers of last year's Fringe hit Tit for Tat are at it again. Theatre Tart was one of the lucky (and deserving) winners of Presentation House Theatre's "On the House" program. They will be presenting Canadian playwright Maureen Hunter's Transit of Venus at Presentation House from March 27 to April 12 2003. More show info here.
