who is hornèd moon?
(pronunciation: hor-ned moon)

Hornèd Moon is a theatre company based in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We provide exposure and experience for emerging theatre artists as they begin their professional careers. Too often, theatres won’t hire actors who lack professional credits. How can an actor gain professional onstage experience if they are not allowed onstage?!

We also produce projects that will provide opportunities for female theatre artists, whether onstage or behind the scenes. There are so few plays out there with strong roles for women, and we want to make sure the girls don’t get the short end of the stick!

Hornèd Moon was founded in April 1999 by Gillian Morris and Tracy Leigh Campbell.

Most recently, Gillian has been focusing on producing and marketing HM's shows, but hopes to tread the boards again soon! jessica bouchard
artistic associate
Although Jessica has known Gillian Morris for over 10 years, it wasn't until late 2002 that she actually joined the ranks of Hornèd Moon. It's about time! Favorite acting roles include Julie in August Strindberg's Miss Julie, and Lillian in Morris Panych's Seven Stories. A graduate of UBC, Jessica spent two years teaching English in Japan, where she studied the mysterious world of Noh theatre. As well as acting, she has attempted Stage Management (which changed her mind about what she thought was a career option), and Marketing and Publicity (a better fit!). On returning from Japan, she worked as Marketing Assistant at the Gateway Theatre, Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Hostelling International's BC Region, and is now the Membership Coordinator for the Vancouver Art Gallery.
